Bravely Blooming

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anais Nin

Spring is certainly here. All around us, the world has begun to come alive again, courageously. It takes a great deal of courage to blossom.

Think of a flower, blooming for the first time in the spring. First it has to push its way up and out of the soil. Then, its outer cover-the bud of the flower which is its only protection-has to split open so that the flower can unfold. And once it does fully bloom, it is still vulnerable to bugs, animals and the elements. Yet, year after year, flowers bravely open and reveal their beauty. Which is what brings beauty to springtime.

At some point in your personal growth continuing to stay stuck in that familiar place will become more painful than the potential risks you have to take to blossom. Regardless of the type or sizes of changes you’d like to make, know that accessing your inner courage is an important first step in this journey.

What parts of your life would you like to change? What is the fear that’s holding you back? What small step can you take this month to challenge this fear so that you can open up and reveal your beauty to the world? Bloom Bravely!
